Grape Varieties Know-How
Japanese grapes are definitely a favorite among Hong Kong people. In the past, Kyoho grapes were the main choice, but recently, Shine Muscat have become the most popular varieties.
Shine Muscat, also known as Muscat grape, gets its name from its floral fragrance. It has a refreshing taste, and popular varieties include those from Yamanashi Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture. On the other hand, there is a type of Shine Muscat grown exclusively in Okayama. It represents the pinnacle of grape quality. This particular variety of Shine Muscat is cultivated using a method where each vine is devoted to a single cluster of grapes. This meticulous approach ensures that all the nutrients are concentrated, resulting in an exceptionally sweet and exclusive fruit.
Fresh Shine Muscat grapes are generally greenish in color, and when gently pressed, they should feel plump. They are also crisp to bite into. If the color starts turning yellow, it means they are more ripe and should be consumed promptly. When eating, it is recommended to only pick the amount you intend to eat. Simply rinse them lightly before consumption, and avoid washing the entire cluster, as the moisture can affect their freshness.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals of the year, and during this time, many people give fruit baskets to clients or loved ones to express gratitude for their support throughout the year and to offer heartwarming gifts. Unlike traditional fruit baskets, S Fleur's designers and florists incorporate artistic aesthetics into their creations, selecting different flowers to shape beautiful lines and designing fruit baskets that are more elegant, visually appealing, and unique. They blend art into everyday life.
